FIG was founded by Georgie Harding-Newman in London in 2010, before moving north to the Scottish Borders and Northumberland in 2012. The move to an area with such an abundance of world class, locally produced ingredients was like a homecoming for Georgie and has allowed her creativity to reach new heights.
With her team, whether delivering her delicious creations at weddings, parties, dinner parties or shoot lunches, these core principles remain true: listening to the needs of her clients; offering advice where required and offering a truly bespoke service that removes the stress of organising an event and lets them enjoy their special occasion.
"Food has always been a passion of mine, whether creating a new recipe or discovering a new ingredient, sharing the pure, distilled joy of simply made, delicious food is what drives me.
Seasonal cooking has become a bit of a buzzword recently but has always been at the very heart of my cooking. The depth and intensity of flavour that comes with in-season produce is an absolute necessity and forms the foundations of all of my dishes."
